Vig is incredibly proud to announce that we will be showcasing our VigXR demo at the Orlando Auto Show.  This demonstration of Vig's VR capability is truly remarkable for not just the amazing demonstration, but the technology and approach behind it.

The Project

Vig partnered with EVT Transports, Electrified Garage, and the Orlando Auto Show, to create a small demonstration on how we can create next generation training for electric vehicles using Virtual Reality.  Learners are transported to one of Electrified Garage's Florida shops and are able to experience firsthand what it's like to work as a mechanic there. Within the immersive environment, learners who stop by the booth will be able to repair a window regulator inside of a Tesla model three. Thanks for the incredible expertise of Electrified Garage, the learners able to receive step-by-step instructions within the virtual environment, and then interact within the shop to directly applying the skills that they had obtained.

This small demonstration, leveraged one day a video shoots, and a few days of Virtual Reality Development, allows us to show the world a small window into watch possible with VigXR.  From picking up objects within the shop to drilling into a door, learner interactivity within the environment is a game changer for all parties involved.

Our Approach

Vig understands the importance of a high ROI outcome for training. It is through this approach that we have viewed virtual reality, and emerging training technologies. In the past virtual reality has been a shiny object, which has led to some poor applications and student outcomes. Our approach has focused on creating high return on effort environments for learners, which ensure positive outcome environment for learners.

This fundamental approach is a determining factor on which projects we leverage virtual reality technologies, for, and which projects we use other training modalities. Applying virtual reality to all environments, does not necessarily equate to positive outcomes, but applying virtual reality to experiential learning environments, where a gap between knowledge and application can be applied, leads to a tremendous change in learner comprehension, leading to higher returns on investment within training.

The Technology

One of the most impressive parts about our technology is the ability to reach devices, far and wide, regardless of their capabilities. Our device agnostic approach is truly unique, with the ability to reach devices through Google cardboard, on a computer, or the latest high end, virtual reality headset, such as the quest pro. We do this because we know how important it is for your learning environments to be accessible to a large variety of learner audiences. Often times having a $1500 device isn't scalable to train an entire workforce. But having a $20 Google cardboard device or something in between those price points may allow you to scale a virtual environment much more readily.

We are incredibly excited for what the future holds for VigXR, and look forward to keep you up to date as we continue to innovate in this space.

If you're in Orlando, please feel free to stop by the Orlando auto show and our booth there to get a hands on experience with VigXR.
